A Journey of Humility and Redemption
Introduction:

Have you ever been faced with a life-altering opportunity that tested your ego and pride? Such moments can challenge us in profound ways, forcing us to confront our inner selves. In this personal narrative, we delve into a recent experience that encouraged self-reflection, humility, and the mending of relationships. Last week, I encountered one such moment when my humble friend, Andy Ng, invited me to join him at church.
The Internal Struggle:

Admittedly, I found myself hesitating when Andy extended the invitation. This internal conflict puzzled me because it wasn't the first time I had been offered the chance to attend a church service. It was my own ego that stood in the way, questioning why I should say "yes" this time around. The situation felt strangely orchestrated, almost as if the universe was urging me to accept.

Support from Family:

My cousin, Ban Hui, who happens to be a pastor at a church, had extended his help to me on numerous occasions in the past. Each time I sought assistance, I couldn't help but feel a sense of shame and pride that prevented me from reaching out to him again. I was hesitant to revisit the strings of past favors and commitments. However, deep down, I knew Ban Hui held no grudges against me for my previous actions. My pride had blinded me to the compassion and understanding that awaited me if I could only set it aside. It was time to muster the courage to apologize and reconnect with my cousin.

A Daughter's Prayer:

Throughout this internal struggle, I found solace in my daughter, Audrey's unwavering support. Every night, she offered up prayers on my behalf. Her constant presence and the unbreakable bond within our family became my source of strength. It was a stark contrast to a difficult period we had faced a few years prior, a testament to the power of unity and love within a family.

A Greater Purpose:

As I contemplated these developments, it became clear that there was a larger purpose unfolding. I sensed the formation of a group, a community of individuals coming together with a shared mission to reach out and help others. It was an opportunity to transcend our individual concerns and make a positive impact on the world around us.

Conclusion:

This recent experience served as a poignant reminder of the importance of humility and the willingness to set aside one's pride for the sake of personal growth and mending relationships. It underscored the strength that can be found in family bonds and the transformative power of community. As I look ahead, I am eager to embrace the challenges and opportunities that await within this newly formed group, knowing that we are here not just for ourselves, but to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Heard of it a lot and every time, I have just encounter one last week, a very humble friend (Andy Ng) called and casually asked if I want to go church with him. Honestly, I don’t know how to say Yes immediately, so many times it passes me, “Why?” I know my ego which is stopping the process. The situation is such where I find it so strange and how it’s been arranged, and I accepted it.

My cousin Ban Hui, pastor of a church, help me so many times where I got so shy to call him again, no, no, I can’t forgo my pride and the stings of things and promises attached. As a shame, pride and everything deterring me from getting back. I know in his side he got no grudge against me, despite all the things I did, but my pride is too much, and I choose to run away. Please allow some time for me to recover and say, “I am sorry.”

My daughter, Audrey, prays for me every night. I am so thankful that I have my family attached in such, after the problem few years ago, and the strength of everybody is now united. I am very thankful to each and everyone for being around for each other.

I know I will be in the group (forming a group) where we will outreach more people. We are here to do something.
